While we were leaving I saw a guy going through the drive through but nobody was answering. I looked at the hours and realized I had been inside for 20 minutes after they were closed. I felt rude. But the employees never mentioned or did anything to make me feel like I was bothering them. The food is all good, very similar to the other Mad Greeks or Z Best Greeks. Same menu, same pricing. It's all really good. They served up the dishes quick and I got to the movies in time to watch 2 hours of horrible screen writing. The gyros, the sandwiches, the enormous bag of fries, all good. It will sit heavy in your stomach, but that's sort of what you want isn't it? Right when I was about to get into the car I heard the answer through the drive through. They took his order.

Mad Greek struck me as a decent place to grab some Greek, fast food style. The gyro plate I had was quite tasty & the serving size was huge. The combo included a pudding dessert ... definitely overkill. I left feeling like fudgie the whale. Overall I would recommend. It looks better out than in & the price is right.

Rebadged as Z Best Greek, this place is still horrendous. The most recent experience was a classic representation of past visits by both my family and me. We decided to roll through the drive through, and it took 10 minutes for the girl to come over the speaker. Finally we placed our lunch order. After an additional 10 minutes, our order was shoved out the window by a large greasy woman. We paid by card and didn't get a reciept for either the card, nor our items. When I realized they hadn't given us the onion rings we requested (which I assumed we were charged for) we turned around and went back. Same scary lady said she didn't charge us for onion rings. But wouldn't give me a reciept. After telling my issue to four more people who didn't speak English, I asked them to give me my money back. This brought out papa bear. Large greasy Greek guy with slick hair and horrendous accent and musk. He told me I was being unreasonable; he explained they don't give receipts unless requested at time of transaction. He asked me never to come back because I obviously don't appreciate their work. Well he's right. I don't appreciate anything about that disgusting place. And I won't be back. Don't waste your money. Your nose will thank you.

Great value, 5$ for a gyro that tasted great, and an almost to simple salad with some rice.

If you are looking for decent, divey fast Greek food, that is exactly what you get here. No frills, but a lot of options.

This little place serves solid Greek fast food. The gyros are delicious and their salads are fresh and tasty. The service is fast and friendly. Prices are reasonable. There's nothing worth jumping up and down about with Mad Greek, but I don't really have any complaints, either.

I didn't care for the salad too much. I would have rather had more rice instead. The weird red sauce on the rice was kinda gross. The price was pretty good for the amount of food through.

Its Greek fast food. It's not going to be presented by a guy with a clean pressed jacket and a black tie. This place does not ever let me down. Folks are cool, Food is good, food is hot, food is greasy. Gyro is one of the better gyro in slc.

Good Greek food. Low price. You get what you pay for. Not the most authentic but a good choice when you are in a hurry. Place is usually really clean though.

I fell in love with traditional souvlaki in Greece and find most American restaurant fall short trying to imitate the flavor. The Mad Greek came as close as I've treated. Their gyros are loaded with soft shaved meat, the right veggies, and flavorful sauce. The accompanying fries were crisp with tasty fry sauce. Great food here!

Mad Greek Small in size extra large in taste! Some of the best Greek food in SLC period. The gyros are the best I have had anywhere, tender cooked just right, spiced perfectly. The pork and chicken souvlaki are good sized portions and again great flavor. The lemon rice is excellent not to strong but has a good lemon flavor. The salads are fresh and crisp, but you have to order their Greek dressing - not like any Greek dressing I have had, it has a nice sweet flavor. Did I mention that they serve breakfast all day? I eat at the one on 2100 South in between State and Main at least 1 to 2 times per week, come have lunch with me sometime.

I always get their Grilled Cheese or Tuna Melt combo. Their grilled cheese is one of my favorites...it's gotta be the bread they use...'cause it's num nummy. And they are not skimpy on the fries (no need to go BIG or upgrade your combo) - you will get a whole gob of fries, with 2 fry sauces. Sorry...I never get their Greek food...so...I dunno about that. They serve Pepsi products - boo. I promise...you get that grilled cheese? You'll go to bed every night wondering when you can have another one.

I am a huge fan of gyros. I am particular and I have tried gyros around the world. My favorite gyro is at Mad Greek. To this date, the best I've ever eaten. And Mad Greek is consistent: the gyros are ALWAYS great. The one problem with the Mad Greek gyro--the standard by which all others are now measured for me--is that they've ruined me for having a gyro anywhere else. All other gyros, to various degrees, disappoint. A bite of gyro, perfect yogurt sauce, a small piece of onion, and a forkful of tender and tasty rice pilaf . . . I'm going there right now!

Ooooh, cmon, only 2 stars? Really guys, this place is a solid three. So here is my vote to getting them up a notch. This place writes its own review from the moment you drive up to the shack like hut - you get your first signal for what this place is all about; haute cuisine is unsurprisingly not the order of the day. Cheap, quick and more often than not cheerful is easy to come by though. The menu is endless, from spaghetti to burgers to breakfast. I don't think I will ever get through the lot, mainly because purchasing chicken teriyaki from a drive through Greek restaurant just seems slightly bizarre and against cosmic harmony. The best item for me are their standard gyros. I honestly think everyone buys from the same pre-formed supply of processed meat, but at this location they dont incinerate the product, its always juicy, and a hefty serving too. Their pitas are *really* fluffy, thats a high point for me. Tzatziki sauce is nice and creamy and you always get a decent smattering of sharp red onions. Fries are so-so, some will hate them, some will find them ok. Sometimes the frying oil is a little stale, sometimes they are real fresh. They are always super salty mind you, and I like that. Debate over fry sauce quality for me is personally redundant, but then I wasn't born here and Im happy mixing mayo and ketchup and calling it good anyway...
